Greetings Brethren, As the Passover is a transition to the Saving Blood of Christ so is Judaism a transition to Christianity. Jesus Christ was seen before there was a before. We also see/saw Jesus at the Exodus. However, many have not seen. We pray for the land of Jerusalem and all of its people. We also pray for the Church that it will follow Gold and not man and money.

Peace and Love, Carl Patton writing for the FreedomJournal April 24, 2002 in the year of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (WE LOVE TO SAY THE NAME JESUS. JESUS PLACES SATAN AND ALL OF HIS MESSENGERS BEHIND US AND DOWN UNDER). FREEDOMJOURNAL SPEAKS ORIGIN & REALITY OF THE PASSOVER PART 5: PREPARATION FOR THE PASSOVER: THE BLOOD

In the name of Jehovah God, Master of the universe, Ruler of the earth.

As the Hebrew people prepared for the Passover they chose a lamb without a blemish. Also, the blood of the slaughtered animal held great significance. The significance of the blood transcended the Old and New Testaments.

For our thought and mediation and as a scripture lesson we will look at verses 3-7 in the 12th Chapter of Exodus.

Exodus 12:3. "Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their father, a lamb for an house:"

Exodus 12:5. "Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:"

Exodus 12:6. "And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening." (Also see Leviticus 23:5).

Although the lamb was selected on the tenth day, it was not to be used until the 14th day. As they prepared for the Passover, they also had time to make a pleasing choice of an animal without blemish. The size of the family also had much to do with the number of lambs selected, also all of the animal was supposed to be consumed. Therefore, if the animal selected was too much for one family, the family shared it with a neighbor and they formed one household for that night.

We also see in the text (verse 5) where the animal could be either a sheep or a goat. All families were to observe the ordinance noted in verse 6. This is what is meant by "whole assembly."

Exodus 12:7. "And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it."

The blood of the lamb was placed on the door jambs to each house. However, no blood was placed on the threshold which indicates that it was not to be trodden upon. Here we see the relationship of this blood to the blood of Christ. None should be walked upon. We will now turn to some companion scripture in the New Testament Book of Hebrews to further bring clarity to the blood of Christ and the Passover blood.

In the 6th Chapter of Hebrews we find a powerful word regarding the blood of Jesus and the New Covenant of Faith and repentance. Our primary scripture lesson is taken from Hebrews 6:6. However, we will also look at the two verses preceding verse 6.

Hebrews 6:4. "For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost.,

Hebrews 6:5. "And have tasted the word of God, and the powers of the world to come,"

"It is impossible." What is impossible? Is it impossible to have experienced the heavenly gift of Christianity and go astray? To taste the good word of God means to have experienced what it's benefits are. Now for a culmination and more precise meaning of verse 4 & 5 we turn to verse 6.

6:6. "If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the son of God afresh, and put him to open shame."

To fall away means those that purposely leave God. This applies to those mentioned in the two previous verses. What is impossible as noted in verse 4 means that it is impossible to renew such a person to repentance. Therefore one cannot restore another to God who has tasted and digested the word. It is not impossible for the person to repent but it is impossible for another person to induce them to repent.

For example many people that go astray (for example many preachers) know much about the Bible and so does the one who wants to renew them. Theretofore the one that wants to renew them cannot offer any new arguments or reasons. If those that have gone astray ever come back to Christ it will be on their own change of heart. Paul writes that these people actually crucify the Son of God. Hence they are in the class of the enemies of God that actually carried out the crucifixion. (Also see Hebrew 10:29).
